Q: What is the difference between "Cool the Earth Contest" and some others?
A: One of the big differences is that this contest is calling for ideas from around the world. We aim to push the whole world to share their ideas and become active in reducing CO2 through this contest.
Q: Do I need to calculate the exact CO2 emissions reduction?
A: With data of CO2 emissions reduction, it will be easy for our judges to see the overall effect in curbing global warming.

Q: We want to apply by team...
A: Of course ideas from teams are welcome! Please fill out the application form, with the name and contact address of your representative. Please include information about applying as a team in "Your Story" section of the application. (From winners of the team, one representative will be invited to Japan.)
Q: When can winners of the contest visit Japan? Where do they visit?
A: The schedule of coming to Japan will be informed after the announcement of final results (October 18th).
Q: I do not have confidence in my ideas...
A: Do not worry if your idea is cool or not! (Of course, it must be cool for Earth!) Nothing changes without a first step. Your ideas may tip us to mitigate global warming! We are waiting for your participation.

Q: When is the deadline of the contest?
A: In response to your requests, the deadline was extended one more week. Entries must be received by September 12, 2007 at 5:00 PM, Japan Time.
Q: When do I know the results of the contest?
A: Final Results will be updated on the webpage and winners of the contest will receive an email.
Q: Can I send my idea in email with attachment to show my ideas for reducing CO2?
A: No, please fill out the application form from our webpage. And if we need additional information from you, our staff will email you directly.
